This experiential learning visit will
explore how Western High School, a Clark County School District
pilot school in the heart of Las Vegas, is transforming education
for nearly 2,800 Title I students through innovative,
student-centered approaches. The visit will focus on the school's
implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL), where authentic,
real-world projects shape students' 21st century skills
and deepen engagement. Additionally, participants will learn about
Western's alternative pathways, including the Flex Academy,
offering a blend of online and on-site learning, and Warrior
Pathways, a program in partnership with the Mike Rowe Works
Foundation, providing students with trade school scholarships.
Discover how these models and initiatives create personalized
learning experiences and prepare students for future success beyond
traditional education methods.
