The National School Boards Association (NSBA) is delighted to present the 2026 Howard Governance and Leadership Academy. NSBA in partnership with Howard University will host 3-sessions (Opening day reception, and 2 days of learning). Programming will begin in February 2026 and run through May 2026. The Boards Governance and Strategic Leadership Academy will bolster support for effective governance in K-12 schools by addressing policy development, budgeting, and superintendent/strategic planning evaluation. Executive coaching is available for interested participants. Participants will engage with superintendents, school board leaders, and Howard University faculty to explore problems of practice and learn in an engaging environment.

All three sessions are in 3-day in person at Howard University in Washington, D.C. or available virtually to attend. Cost is $2000 per session or bundle all three sessions and save $1000!
